About The Outsourcing King

The Outsourcing King is a personal site where I track virtual assistant companies and write quick, high-level breakdowns of each one. The breakdowns cover niche, strengths, services, where the VAs actually work from, pricing, legitimacy, and anything else worth knowing before you spend money.

Why Is This Important?

The virtual assistant space is crowded with noise and companies offering the same basic outsourcing experience. There are tons of issues - let me break them down for you:

1. No Region Listed

One common issue is the lack of clarity about where the companies outsource from. This is critical depending on the type of work you need.

  • If you want customer service, you’ll likely want to look toward the Philippines rather than India.
  • If you’re looking for developers, Bangalore (and India in general) is often the best choice.

2. No US Entity

Accountability matters. A lot of companies rank well and appear legitimate - but they don’t make it clear if they are a US entity. I’ve done the digging for you to find out which ones are.

3. Huge Price Swings

Companies outsourcing from multiple regions often list their lowest-tier rate as their starting price. This makes it hard to figure out the actual price for the service you need.

4. Unclear or Hidden Pricing

It’s easy to rack up hours on these services - research, technical issues, and just communicating the task can eat up time.

When I find pricing, I calculate the full-time cost (40 hours/week) to give you a clear picture of what you’re paying for.

Sometimes the numbers get messy, so I simplify the math for you and lay it out clearly.

5. Unclear Niche

Keywords are one thing, but some companies specialize in certain types of work. I’ve researched this and surfaced those insights for you.

The Outsourcing King Difference

When you visit my site, you’re getting the results of real investigative work. I cover:

  • Where the VAs are from (USA, India, South Africa, Philippines, etc.)
  • Whether the company is a legal entity in the US
  • Whether they have a US headquarters
  • Any red flags or suspicious behavior

You’ll get detailed breakdowns with full citations, screenshots, and historical updates as I continue to research these companies.

About the Author

James King runs OutsourcingKing. The site is a side project that grew out of years of buying VA, BPO, and remote staffing services for my own work — and getting tired of how hard it was to tell who was real and who was paying for the rankings. The lens I use here is the buyer’s: pricing math, who actually owns the workers, and where the risk sits when something goes wrong.
