Fiverr is best for one off deliverables. Similar to how I outsource delivery of my taco bell at 11:32pm to Doordash, I also outsource some activities to Fiverr such as creating affiliate banners and ads.

Public Issues

There is a pretty significant credibility issue on the platform that surfaced during covid, and is only made worse with AI. This is mostly restricted to artists, but several well known artists have had their artwork stolen and used as samples of other peoples work. Googling this literally shows hundreds of posts on Reddit, Fiverrs community forum, and even comments on the review from TheHireUps.

This is setting aside the VoiceoverPete controversy, where one of their most popular creators was axed after getting too popular.

Communication

Communication is specifically done via the Fiverr app \ in-browser messaging. It’s a little rigid, but it works.

I recommend working with a few creators and sticking to them for regular work orders. I’m lucky since I’ve had no significant issues, but I would definitely look at the reviews and make sure you can afford to fail if things are not up to your expectations.

Pricing

Pricing is variable, which is nice but makes it harder to pick and compare services.
