Woodbows is a VA company with fairly standard industry offerings, but their ownership and corporate structure are veiled behind a mix-matched set of identities, companies, and locations that leave me bewildered.

Finding the US Company

Finding the US company has been challenging. The About page is mostly about John (with no last name), but the Our Team page shows Mario Suntar as the Chief Executive Officer.

Which, by the way, is just a stock photo. Nobody in this is named John (probably).

The parent company is VA SERVICES PRO LLC (ID: 7504553 in Delaware secretary of state search), and during that discovery I actually discovered Triniter which appears to be run by the same team.

So who is the founder?

From the WoodBows page, John claims he is the CEO:

WoodBows evolved. Ever since I started this business, I have been getting great feedback from our clients.

But VAA (A very trusted name in the Virtual Assistant Space) says Joanna Finch was the founder:

A VA company outsourcing CX services, called Triniter, also shows our John in the About Us and just simply has the words changed (“We are excited to welcome you to our Triniter’s Family” (vs WoodBows))

John also shows up at the bottom of a case study on the WoodBows website (from 2017) - but this time he is in The United Kingdom?

The Reviews (Triniter)

One thing that I noticed while researching Triniter is that they are getting reviews as recent as 2022, indicating they are still in business. I have no idea if they just registered another company and charge a different fee, or if WoodBows is actually Triniter 2.0… or if Triniter is WoodBows 2.0. Or if they operate under an old company name and it’s legacy clients leaving those reviews?

Some Notes

One thing that makes this service similar to WishUp is the office-space. They have offices in both Philippines and India, meaning their team has to show up during work hours (US hours) to accommodate.

🚩 There is also some really awkward case studies featured on the website which include what I hope is fake PII. There are screenshots with numbers that I am not entirely convinced are properly scrambled. I’ve saved them but I will reach out to confirm at a later date and update this page.
